I am drawn to the world of narratives and how a storyline is being revised as it goes through different countries, cultures and time period. I research on the cultural anthropological influences on these stories, adapt their connecting element, symbolical imagery and motif, revised and fused with modern culture to create new narrative with modern day interpretations.
Narratives were born from our histories, cultures, religions and traditions since the beginning of the earliest civilisation. They help us to rationalise and explain the unknown universe and nature that we are cohabiting with. Narratives also function as a historic record that have been retold and passed down through many generations, thus possess a certain degree of Truth and realities. Together with their strong illustrative and ritualistic natures, narratives provoke different intentions, forms and functions emphasising their flexibility and potential to enhance the psychological state of the mind to dream of other possibilities in the realistic and structured world. My works aim to cross the line between real time space and the fiction of art, blurring the perceptual boundaries between object and space, let the imaginary state becomes the moment of consciousness.
